World Faith Nigeria: YOUPEDA

YOUPEDA is an interfaith NGO registered in Nigeria, working as a World Faith Chapter in 36 states of Nigeria.  YOUPEDA was established in 2008 to promote peaceful coexistence in Nigeria. As an independent organization we provide advance assistance to government, policy makers and its agencies on advisory basis regarding issue of peace building base on religious coexistence, human rights principles, and true religious governance as model for building a better political, social economic and cultural peaceful nation.

We are a network of young volunteers focused on interfaith work. We mediate between misunderstandings, providing coexistence and mutual respect between religions. We use our experience combined with dialogue and practical life events to promote integral values of peaceful interfaith coexistence. We use and explore our cultural values, traditions, norms and we explore Christians and Muslims heritage to the advantage of peace, harmony having respect to one another.

YOUPEDA as a child necessity for peace and interfaith coalition also aims to develop and implement educational progress geared towards developing the concepts of peace building using interfaith of human dignity, equality, justice and freedom. Effectively our interfaith programmes and actions tackle issues of tolerance, understanding, democracy, women’s rights, and children rights and youth development.

We give highest attention to addressing the urgent problems of misunderstanding and violence through the provision of comprehensive, objective and accurate solution. We are committed to community stability, growth and development.
