World Faith Gambia Youths in Aid (YIA) Youths in Aid is a non-profit organization founded in 2008. It was formed by religiously-diverse young Gambians working in various international and local development agencies in Gambia and other parts of West Africa. YIA aims at mobilizing young adults to take action in development projects on a local, regional, and national level in order to find applicable solutions to crucial issues like poverty, education, social justice, peace-building, and a sustainable economic development. Our goals are:- To promote social justice, peace, and economic development through community projects led by young people who believe in the values of mutual respect and interfaith harmony.
- To encourage and facilitate the creation of a culture of inter-religious dialogue, understanding, and cooperation in order to advance the well-being of our local communities.
- To conduct educational projects for orphans and children in need irrespective of gender, religion, and race.
- To be proactive in delivering community services including public health, tree planting, educational programs, and social welfare to orphans and children in need.
