The Associate Director is responsible for assisting the Managing Director in managing incoming and current Contributing Scholars, supporting Regional Recruiters, and developing a truly national (and international) presence for State of Formation.

Daily Tasks (Approximately 3 hours per week)
Respond to SoF email within a 24-hour period.
Post on social media outlets a few times a day with relevant stories and SoF blog articles. Friend new contributors on Fb/Twitter via SoF accounts.

Weekly Tasks (Approximately 4 hours per week)
Check in with designated Regional Recruiters. These recruiters will work to bring 10 new Contributing Scholars onto State of Formation over the course of the school year (2 hours per week).
Review contributing scholar nominations with the Managing Director (1 hour per week on average, with variation based on the time of the semester).
Track designated metrics for long-term evaluation needs (30 minutes per week).
Send out an all contributors email in collaboration with Managing Director every week.
Weekly conversation with the Managing Director of State of Formation about plans, goals, and special agenda items for the week (30 minutes per week)
Take part in a phone conversation with all of the Journal of Inter-Religious Dialogue’s Staff (30 minutes per week)

Long-Term Tasks (Approximately 6-8 hours per week, with more flexibility)
Host strategic assistant support calls every other month for Regional Sites and Regional Recruiters.
Assist in recruiting contributors to write special features, particularly those written in collaboration with other organizations and/or publications.
Develop prompts and themes for writers to respond to each week.
Assist with website maintenance as needed (depending on the technical skills of the Associate Director).
Assist with recruiting contributing scholars from around the country.

This position requires a commitment of 10-15 hours per week. There is an anticipated $2,500 yearly stipend.
