The Philippines continued its active role as a “global thought and action leader” in interfaith dialogue at the Non-Aligned Movement’s (NAM) Ministerial Meeting in Bali, Indonesia on May 25 to 27, with NAM welcoming the Philippines’ initiative of establishing an e-portal that is seen to increase the body of knowledge on global efforts in interfaith dialogue.

At the 16th Ministerial Conference and Commemorative Meeting of the 50th Anniversary of the Establishment of the NAM, the Ministers of the 119-strong international organization, the Ministers welcomed the Philippines’ establishment of the “Interfaith Dialogue E-Portal: The Experience of the Non-Aligned Movement.”

As expressed in paragraph 44 of the Final Outcome Document of the NAM Ministerial Meeting, the Ministers also “acknowledged the E-Portal’s key role as an e-resource center that raises the level of awareness and understanding on the Movement’s interfaith dialogue efforts” and “encouraged NAM member states to contribute to the growth and development of the body of information on interfaith dialogue by sharing developments of the Program of Action of the Manila Declaration in their respective countries through the E-Portal.”
