February has been an exciting month at the World Faith Chapter in Malawi! 200 youth from a local secondary school planted 3,000 trees along the Lilongwe river and around their school compound! Along with planting the seedlings, the students learned about the impacts of climate change and why planting the trees is a step in a positive direction for the local environment and the development of their communities. As future custodians of Mother Earth, the youth learned how to take full ownership and responsibility for their local environment. This activity was a great learning opportunity for the youth that participated and the Chapter plans to continue teaching the youth about environmental issues and natural resource management.
