Do you want to know what world peace looks like?  Do you believe that world peace starts with you?  Are you between the ages of 12 and 35?

If yes, then you belong with us in Philadelphia on July 25th, 2010.

Hey all~ My name is Natalia, and I’m interning with World Faith as a development intern.  I wanted to take this opportunity to personally invite you to the SGI-USA East Territory “Rock the Era” Youth Culture Festival: Dream Big, Change the WORLD to take place Sunday, July 25th at the Liacourus Center at Temple University in Philadelphia.

10,000 young people from across the eastern United States are preparing for this unprecedented celebration that both signifies our determination to take responsibility, as leaders of the 21st century, for realizing a peaceful society, and  that also commemorates the 80th anniversary of the Soka Gakkai.  The Soka Gakkai is a lay-Buddhist organization of over 12 million members in 192 countires worldwide who practice Nichiren’s Buddhism, a life philosophy and daily Buddhist practice which places the highest emphasis on the sanctity of life. Members seek, through their practice of Buddhism, to develop the ability to live with confidence, to create value in any circumstance and to contribute to the well-being of friends, family and community.

You’ll truly be able to see what world peace looks like on July 25th at Temple U’s Liacourus Center as 10,000 youth come together to put on an explosive performance of dance, song, gymnastics, taiko drumming, brass band, tall flags, and more, driven by the singular desire to make a statement to America that we, young people, have to be the change we want to see in the world.
