Boogie to Broadway has a new look this year: The three choirs engaged in friendly competition to raise money for the area’s older adults are not only intergenerational, they’re also interfaith.

And to make them even more so, the choirs — featuring children and adults from area churches and synagogues — will be directed by three Jewish directors paired with three Protestant and Catholic directors at the competition on Sunday.

“We wanted to make it an interfaith event because Jewish Family Services provides services for older adults of all faiths in the area,” said Don Goldman, executive director of JFS, which is organizing the event. “We want older adults to know that all our programs, such as JET Express, which provides transportation for them, are available to everyone. Making it interfaith was a good way to accomplish that.”
