Rabbi Aaron Bisno of Rodef Shalom Congregation will receive a papal medal for his work promoting interfaith relations.
Bishop David Zubik of the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh will present the award Sunday, during a 3 p.m. Mass in St. Paul Cathedral, Oakland. Rabbi Bisno said that he had been told last year that he would receive an award from the diocese, and was astounded to learn on Jan. 15 that it would be a medal from Pope Benedict XVI.
