On July 25-28, 2011, the Chicago-based Interfaith Youth Core (IFYC) will deliver an intensive interfaith leadership training institute at Georgetown University. The Institute will give student leaders and campus staff allies from across the country the vision, knowledge, and skills necessary to improve interfaith cooperation on campus. President Obama recently issued a nation-wide challenge to campuses to engage in a year of interfaith service. (For more information visit ifyc.org/presidents-challenge). The interfaith leadership institutes provide training and inspiration to students, faculty, and staff to support this call on their campuses.

Georgetown University’s Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs will facilitate the training sessions on campus along with other campus partners. The Berkley Center has also put together an online resource, Interfaith Dialogue on Campus, that tracks existing efforts to promote dialogue and cooperation at colleges and universities around the country.
