An interfaith group with members from at least 17 traditions says a worship service next week in Indianapolis will mark the start of an Indiana-wide organization aimed at cutting energy use.

The group calling itself Hoosier Interfaith Power and Light will hold the gathering March 5 at First Baptist Church on Indianapolis’ north side. It said its mission is to bring together people of faith to promote energy conservation, renewable energy and sustainable practices.
