AN INTERFAITH event in Radlett will be held for Mitzvah day, a Jewish-led initiative that encourages people of all faiths to donate their time to charity.

The event, organised by the Radlett and Bushey Reform Synagogue, in Watling Street, will be a clean-up at King George V Playing fields, in Cobden Hill, Radlett.

Radlett institutions involved in the event will include the reform synagogue, Radlett United Synagogue, Christ Church, St John’s Church, the United Free Church and muslim representatives. They will be joined by hindu representatives from Bhaktivedanta Manor and St John the Baptist Church, from neighbouring Aldenham.

Organiser Elizabeth Crossick, from Radlett and Bushey Reform Synagogue, said: “It’s a lovely idea and we know it will be a less lovely job to do but very worthwhile in the end.
