We know that natural devastation can challenge us in physical, material, and emotional ways. As Hurricane Sandy reminded all of us of the whirlwinds of life, it also brought our diverse faith communities together to serve those most affected. In the aftermath of the hurricane, World Faith volunteers trekked to the outer boroughs to help with disaster relief. In Staten Island, World Faith volunteers helped clean debris and distribute food and water to victim’s homes. In Far Rockaway, we took food, water, and supplies to the elderly by walking up 25-story elderly high-rise. Nature does not discriminate, and no matter what faith you follow, we can all come together to help those most in need.
