The DuPage, IL Interfaith Resource Network will hold its 20th Annual Thanksgiving Service on Monday, November 22nd at 7:30 p.m. in the sanctuary of St. Procopius Abbey in Lisle.

The service will include participation from a wide range of religions: Protestants, Buddhists, Catholics, Jews, Moslems, Zoroastrians, Sikhs, and Baha’i. “I believe this is the most diverse Thanksgiving service in the country,” says Rabbi Steven M. Bob, chair of the DuPage Interfaith Resource Network. “The warmth and diversity of the worshiping congregation expresses the promise of America.”

Rabbi Bob, who is the Senior Rabbi at Congregation Etz Chaim, a Reform Jewish synagogue serving DuPage and surrounding counties, adds that the mission of the DuPage Interfaith Resource Network is to promote understanding between religious communities.

Says Rabbi Bob, “Hearing the prayers of other religions, sung and chanted, we respect our differences and appreciate that which binds us together. We gather in friendship to proclaim a common message of gratitude.”

St. Procopius Abbey is located at the intersection of Maple and College in Lisle. All are welcome to attend the Interfaith Thanksgiving Service. There is no charge for admission. For more information, contact the office of Congregation Etz Chaim at 630-627-3912.
