As people of faith, it’s time to start treating the Earth as sacred. Ibrahim Abdul-Matin, environmental policy advisor and environmental justice activist is helping to build the interfaith environmentalist movement by releasing his new book, “Green Deen: What Islam Teaches About Protecting the Planet.”

In honor of the book’s launch, join us on Saturday, November 13th from 10:00AM – sunset in Bedstuy’s Shiloh Gardens. As winter approaches this garden, planted and maintained by the surrounding community, needs to be prepared to survive the cold weather and snow. Help us build a shed, insulate, and clean up the garden as well as the block out front!

Organized by: World Faith, CAIR, CAMP-NY, Green Thumb, and “Green *Deen: What Islam Teaches About Protecting the Planet.”

Meet up point:
Meet at 10:00AM at the Magnolia Tree Earth Center at 677 Lafayette Avenue for breakfast and inspiration from Ibrahim Abdul-Matin. Take the G train to Bedford-Nostrand or the A/C to Nostrand.

…We will walk over as a group to Shiloh Garden located at the corner of Tompkins Ave & Monroe St – just a few blocks away.
