The panelists identified as Muslims, Christians, Sikhs and more. All of them gathered to discuss the interfaith movement, or the cooperation of all faiths to work toward the service of others.

“We hope to bring all faith and non-faith backgrounds together to show the world that there can be positive cooperation,” said organizer Guru Amrit Khalsa. “We would like to work together in the shared value of service.”

The panel discussion was only one portion of Wednesday evening’s program “What If? Speak In!” presented by the Interfaith Steering Committee at Ohio University, which works with the national organization Interfaith Youth Core.

The program included discussions and presentations focused on how people of all spiritual backgrounds can work together to create positive change, starting on college campuses.

“A university campus is a laboratory for interfaith collaboration and cooperation,” said panelist Rev. Evan Young from United Campus Ministries. UCM is spearheading the movement with the Steering Committee.
