There were speeches, chants, poetry and song in the name of peace on Monday.

The 27th annual Memorial Day Interfaith Service of Remembrance and Peace brought together about 60 people of different backgrounds and faiths at Christ Church Cathedral downtown with one goal in mind — to make the world a more peaceful place.
