In June 2003, faith leaders, clergy, and lay leaders from around the state gathered at Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church to form the Alabama Faith Council, an organization whose goal is to nurture interfaith relationships while enabling all to express the fullness of their faith by addressing those issues that affect Alabamians whose needs are the greatest and whose resources in life are the least.

By working together we aim to build a beloved community and fulfill a dream of Dr. King’s.When we are able to clearly see our interrelatedness, even with those we differ from by race, creed or religion, respect and mutual concern can be fostered. READ MORE
