In a remarkable interfaith gesture, distinguished Hindu statesman Rajan Zed was invited to prestigious Bishop Manogue Catholic High School (BMCHS) in Nevada (USA) to explain Hinduism to its pupils.

Zed, who is President of Universal Society of Hinduism, talked about origins, scriptures, six schools of philosophy, gods and goddesses, beliefs,

practice/rituals, festivals, concepts and symbols, etc., of Hinduism to four classes of students and answered questions.

Jim Toner, President; Tim Jaureguito, Principal; and Janine Kearney, theology teacher; of the school welcomed Rajan Zed.

Commending BMCHS for this interfaith gesture, Zed says that a broader and more inclusive understanding of religion is required as religion is a complex and powerful component of our lives. World needs to take the religion more seriously, he adds.
