The head of the Pontifical Council for Inter-Religious Dialogue is in South Korea this week for meetings with leaders of the local Buddhist, Confucian, and Protestant communities, and talks with representatives of other Asian faiths.

Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran—accompanied by Archbishop Pier Luigi Celata, the secretary of the Pontifical Council, is traveling in Korea at the invitation of that country’s episcopal conference.
