In August, World Faith Abuja YOUPEDA began the second phase of its new initiative, Women Savings, Credit and Cooperatives and Farming Empowerment (WOSACCOFEM). YOUPEDA recruited 25 women of both Muslim and Christian faith from the local community to teach valuable skills and farming techniques. Through the program, these women will become more independent and be able to provide for themselves and their families. They also learn to work with people of other religions and develop trust and acceptance for people of diverse religious backgrounds. WOSACCOFEM demonstrates the importance of cultural and religious diversity, and through interfaith exercises, promotes peace and acceptance of differences!
