Youth in Aid in Gambia has continually progressed with their work at the Mango School and the Fufo Nursery. Both schools were operating with 110 students at the Mango Tree Nursery School and 60 at the Fufo Nursery school. However, classes were suspended in the beginning of April due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Due to the lockdown, children are continuing classes through television programs produced by the Ministry of Education. However, many of the students do not have a television in their home. For these students, Youth in Aid has been providing phone credit for teachers to spend thirty minutes twice a week reviewing material with students. Youth in Aid has also initiated fundraising efforts to provide food for children in the most need at this time.
