LAHORE: Formation, Awareness, and Community Empowerment Society (FACES) Pakistan is striving to promote inter-religious harmony, human rights, social justice, sustainable development and gender equality while helping the communities to gain access to these social development factors, said its Vice President Javed William during a media briefing on Monday.

He said that the FACES Pakistan, a nonprofit organisation, has its parent organisation in England, namely FACES UK. The organisation had worked on various projects, including Flood Relief Emergency Project 2010, Youth Active Citizens Project, Vocational Training for Housemaids, Schools for Afghan Refugees’ Education, Gwadar Disaster Project, Dera Ismail Khan IDPs Project and various other projects in Pakistan.

About their national and international collaborations and funding, William said that they had worked with a variety of reputable organisations in a quest to establish a country without the horrors of social injustice, inequality, and religious intolerance. As their partner organisations, he counted the names of organisations such as British Council, National Commission for Inter-religious Dialogue and Ecumenism (NCIDE), Caritas, XAVOR Pakistan, CONCERN, Rescue 1122, Ministry of Minorities and SAP Pk.
